- 1302
We take a look at the Top Performers from a thrilling New Zealand derby at the Wyatt Crockett Stadium in Canterbury.
Liam Squire
Squire was in fine form on his return from injury against the Crusaders.
He put in a number thumping tackles and was strong over the ball winning a number of penalties and turnovers for his side.
Despite his best efforts, his side was still on the losing end of the result.
Richie Mo'unga
Mo'unga had an outstanding game for the Crusaders.
He ran the Crusaders attack brilliantly and scored 25 of the Crusaders 45 points (1 try, 4 conversions and 4 penalties).
He beat 3 defenders made 57 running metres and assisted a try.
Jack Goodhue
Another top draw performance by the Crusaders centre.
He ran smart lines off of Ryan Crotty and went on to make 68 running metres beating 4 defenders.
His offloading game was on point as was his defence.
Wyatt Crockett
The man of the moment was called upon a lot earlier than he would have expected after Joe Moody left the field inside the first 5 minutes of the game.
Crockett had a strong 75 minutes and got the better of Tyrel Lomax a number of times throughout the game.
He did give a few penalties away at scrum time but made up for it in open play, making 6 tackles.
He also completed a sublime offload in the build up to a superb try at the end of the first half.
