Toni Pulu a soon-to-be Wallaby?

Toni Pulu is being touted in various Australian circles as a future Wallaby. Born in Los Angeles and raised in New Zealand, Pulu began his professional career with the Chiefs – for whom he played 4 seasons – before switching to the Brumbies for 2 seasons while he currently finds himself in the Force set-up, with whom he signed towards the end of 2020.
Despite his place of birth and New Zealand upbringing, Pulu qualifies to play for the Wallabies through his Australian mother.
His abilities on the field are stand-out; blistering speed combined with ample strength rendering him a force to be reckoned with out wide.
Force teammate Tom Robertson believes that Pulu will be in the gold jersey before long.
“His impact coming off the wing is massive,” Robertson said.
“When he’s fit, and not suspended, he’s been one of our best week to week.
“I think he’s destined to play higher honours with the Wallabies or wherever. I think he’s an incredible athlete, and a very good player when he’s on the field.
“I played against the Chiefs a few times when I was at the Waratahs, I didn’t know him personally, but I knew he was a fast wing.
“I don’t come up against fast wings much in my position. But coming over here and seeing the impact he has for the team out wide, it’s exciting to watch. I think there are only big things to come for Toni.”
