Tigers change three ahead of European return
- 343
Tommy Reffell returns to the Leicester Tigers XV as one of three changes ahead of the visit of Aviron Bayonnais in the Investec Champions Cup.
The flanker missed the victory against Saracens last weekend, but is back and replaces Sam Williams, whilst James Thompson and Olly Cracknell retain their places.
Charlie Clare is the other change in the pack as he rotates with Jamie Blamire, who is among the substitutes for this test.
The third change is on the left wing, as Gabriel Hamer Webb returns to the starting side for the first time since injuring his hamstring three months ago.
On the test that Aviron Bayonnais will pose, Geoff Parling said, “It's important for us to back up with another performance that showcases our basics and how physical we want to be in collisions against a dangerous Bayonne side.”
Parling is relishing another opportunity to play at home in front of the Tigers faithful as the European campaign reaches a crucial juncture.
“We love playing at Mattioli Woods Welford Road in front of our fans. When we have the challenge of big European sides at Mattioli Woods Welford Road their support is invaluable.”
Tickets are still available for the game here.
