Joe Simpson settled this game for Wasps with a sensational solo try from 65
metres out just as Exeter had dragged themselves back to within three points
and looked the dominant force.

Simpson’s glory break and try killed them off
and with four minutes to go, all Exeter could manage was a dropped goal and
a losers’ bonus point.



That point may turn out to be crucial.

With two rounds to go, the Premiership
remains fascinatingly poised with three teams – Leicester Tigers, Exeter and
Wasps – all still vying for the fourth play-off place.
