Super Rugby Week 18: Stormers v Sharks

The Sharks play-off hopes were dealt a major blow as they slumped to a 27-16 away defeat to the Stormers in round 18 of Super Rugby. The Sharks opened the scoring with an early penalty, but the Stormers hit back with a try to lead 7-3. Two further Sharks penalties saw them edge ahead 9-7. The Stormers then ran in two more tries to take a 21-9 lead into the break. The Sharks got off to the perfect start in the second half, with an early try reducing the deficit to just five points at 21-16. A Stormers penalty with 15 minutes to play made it a two score ball game as the hosts took control of the match and they would add another three points late on to seal the victory.
