The Stormers remain unbeaten after a hard fought 34-26 home win over the Chiefs in round 7 of Super Rugby. The Stormers ran in three first half tries to two to take a 24-18 lead into the break.
The sides traded penalties early in the second half before the Stormers crossed for their fourth try to lead 34-21. The Chiefs responded with their third try to cut the gap to eight points at 34-26 with a quarter of the match to play. The Chiefs upped the tempo for the remainder of the match but were kept out by some solid Stormers defense as the hosts held on for the victory, handing the Chiefs their first loss of the season.
