Stade Francais Legend Signs Off In Style
- 2171
Ahead of their final match of the season, Stade Francais confirmed that club stalwart Julien Arias had not re-signed for the club for the 2019/20 season.
A veteran of 15 seasons at Paris club, Arias headed into his final game for Stade Francais with 99 tries to his name having won three European titles and represented his club 324 times.
The two test French International was named in the starting line for his farewell game against Pau at the Stade Jean-Bouin.
And it did not take long, 2 minutes in fact, for Arias to notch up his 100th try for his beloved Stade Francais as Gael Fickou took it to the line dummied and sent the veteran through to do what he does best, score tries!
In an interview with RugbyRama, Arias said that he would like to carry on playing but he could not remain at the club that he debuted for back in 2004.
