Springbok trio Damian de Allende, Jesse Kriel and Jason Jenkins are set to sign lucrative deals to leave South Africa after the Rugby World Cup, accoring to Afrikaans newspaper the Rapport.
Second rower Jason Jenkins, who earned his only Springbok cap against Wales in Washington DC last year, is set to leave the Bulls after the World Cup and sign a permanent deal in Japan. Jenkins has represented Top League side Toyota Verblitz during the Super Rugby off seasons but because of the World Cup, the Top League will be played concurrently with Super Rugby in 2020.
According to the Rapport, de Allende is on the brink of signing for the Panasonic Wild Knights, who are coached by former Crusaders and Wallabies head coach Robbie Deans. The deal would also make de Allende unavaible to the Stormers.
Kriel has also received an offer from a Japanese club and has already informed the Bulls and SA Rugby about his intention to accept the deal.
The versitle back has also been linked to moves accross Europe but a source close to the 25-year-old confirmed to Rapport that Kriel will ‘definitely’ play in Japan next year.
A move to France would not mean the end of Pollard's Springbok career as SA Rugby will continue to allow Rassie Erasmus to pick overseas-based playershttps://t.co/LR5xERCVLx
