Springbok player ratings vs Argentina
- 1065
South Africa hang on to a 10-17 win over Argentina. Argentina started the game stronger with fast attacking rugby but Rassie Erasmus's men got control in the 2nd half with dominant scrums and distrupting the home side's lineouts. A big issue was the general kicking of the South African backs. Box kicks and general attacking kicks were not on the money.

Lets take a look at how the Springbok players faired.
15 Aphelele Fassi 8/10-Safe under the high ball and good distance on his clearance kicks
14 Edwill van der Merwe 8/10-Scored the opening try and was looking for work.

13 Canan Moodie 7/10-Nothing flashy did not have have to. Did notthing wrong on both sides of the ball.
12 Andre Esterhuizen 7/10- Offload to Moodie to put van der Merwe away for the Springboks opening try but 2 handling errors from the big man is something he will want to fix.
11 Ethan Hooker 8/10-Strong on attack and was looking for work.
10 Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu 8/10-100% off the tee in the first half. Up and unders were not always on the money but he kept asking questions on attack.

9 Cobus Reinach 7/10-Left the field after 60minutes. Clean at the back of the breakdown but box kicks were not always on the money
8 Cameron Hanekom 9/10- High tackle in the 2nd minute but scored the Springboks 2nd try after a monster scrum. Made massive meters on attack.
7 Elrigh Louw 8/10-Big shift in the first half. Left the field in the 50th minute.
6 Siya Kolisi N/A-Left the field in the 25th minute with a injury.
5 Lood de Jager 7/10-Hard off the line on defence but slipped off one or to. Left the field in the 50th minute.
4 Eben Etzebeth 8/10-Physical on defence in the first half and continued that in the 2nd half. Pressure on Argentina's box kicks helped his team.

3 Thomas du Toit 7/10-Same as Venter
2 Johan Grobbelaar 8/10-Can be very happy with his match. Found his jumpers in the lineouts.
1 Boan Venter 7/10-Solid in the scrums. Left the field in the 50th minute.
Replacements 8/10 - Really impressive from the bok bench. Props made strong carries and dominated in the scrums and Wiese brought the energy in the lineouts. van den Berg and Pollard looked sharp.
16 Jan-Hendrik Wessels
17 Gerhard Steenekamp
18 Zachary Porthen
19 Ben-Jason Dixon
20 Cobus Wiese
21 Marco van Staden
22 Morne van den Berg
