Samu Kerevi's Season Over
- 1664
Wallabies and Reds centre, Samu Kerevi's season is over after it was confirmed that he will go under the knife on Monday to repair a ruptured bicep.
He suffered the injury during the June Test window and went for scans on Sunday after complaining about some added discomfort after the Reds' loss to the Blues in Auckland.
He will now be sidelined for 12 to 16 weeks. The 24-year-old looked to have finally secured his spot in the Wallabies starting XV outside Bernard Foley and Kurtley Beale, having battled Tevita Kuridrani for the 13 jersey since making his Test debut against England in June 2016.
The injury means the Reds' depth in the position will be further tested with Chris Feauai-Sautia and Izaia Perese also sidelined for the remainder of the season through knee injuries.
