Sam Jeffries re-signed until 2018

It was the appeal of being a a part of something “great” that has kept lock Sam Jeffries at the Melbourne Rebels until at least 2018.

The 23-year-old signed a two-year contract extension with the Melbourne-based Asteron Life Super Rugby franchise this week which will see the Queensland-native remain with the Rebels.

“It was an easy decision,” said Jeffries.

“The Rebels gave me my first crack in Super Rugby in 2014 and so I’m pretty happy to be staying around.

“I like the way we’re going, we’re building something great here, you can tell it’s been coming for the last couple of years and we’re starting to see some results.”
