Best led Ireland to a World Cup quarter-final in Japan and retired from international duty with 124 Test caps, nine Lions appearances and 218 provincial games with Ulster.
The two-time Grand Slam winner will now lace up his boots one more time on Saturday 16th November for the Barbarians, just two weeks after the Rugby World Cup final, with the match looking set to be the only autumn international taking place at Twickenham during 2019.
Best will be joined by a host of other international stars, with France centre Mathieu Bastareaud, South Africans Tendai “The Beast” Mtawarira and Herschel Jantijies, and Argentinian prop Ramiro Herrera already confirmed.
England boss Eddie Jones will coach the side.
