Former All Black Rene Ranger has ruptured ACL effectively bringing an end to his Super Rugby season.
The 32-year-old made his debut for the Sunwolves in the opening round of the competition against the Sharks in Singapore.
The powerful back looked to step through the Sharks defence but a miss step saw him rupture his ACL. Ranger returned to New Zealand in 2018 and featured for Northland in the Mitre 10 Cup before signing a deal with the Sunwolves for the 2019 Super Rugby season.
Watching some Super Rugby this morning, not nice to see Rene Ranger go down with what looks likely to be an ACL injury @ACLrecoveryCLUB pic.twitter.com/7v53bOqiRk
