Red Roses name matchday squad to play USA

Head coach Simon Middleton has named his matchday squad to play USA at Sandy Park, Exeter this weekend.

The Red Roses face the Eagles in their opening Summer Nations Series match on Saturday, 3 September (KO 3pm) with the game live on ITV4 and ITV Hub.

Emily Scarratt captains the side at outside centre with flanker Zoe Aldcroft vice-captain.

Tatyana Heard starts at inside centre for her first England appearance since February 2019 with Saracens fly half Zoe Harrison making up the 10-12 axis.

Cath O’Donnell returns at lock following an injury lay-off while her Loughborough Lightning teammate Morwenna Talling is named among the finishers.

Claudia MacDonald, who signed for Exeter Chiefs in the summer, starts on the left wing at her new home stadium with Ellie Kildunne (full back) and Jess Breach (right wing) forming the back three.

Hannah Botterman (loose-head prop), Amy Cokayne (hooker) and Bryony Cleall (tight-head prop) form the front row.
