PRO14 2019/20 Semi Final: Edinburgh v Ulster Highlights

Ulster moved on to the Pro14 Final with a last gasp penalty seeing them edge Edinburgh 22-19 in an absolute epic semi-final clash. Edinburgh scored the only points of the first half with a try 14 minutes in. Ulster had their opportunities deep in the Edinburgh 22 but would come up empty handed as they trailed 5-0 at the beak after a tightly contested opening forty. Edinburgh started the second half brightly and a try just six minutes in gave them some breathing room at 12-0. Ulster needed a response and did just that to get on the board with a try, but Edinburgh hit back almost immediately with their third score to wrestle back control of the match at 19-7. Ulster once again got right back into it with their second try at the start of the final quarter reducing the deficit to just seven points. Momentum had swung in Ulster's favour and they crossed for another try with just five minutes to play, with the Ian Madigan conversion from the corner levelling things up at 19-19. The match looked destined for extra time, but there would be a final twist in the tale as a late Ulster penalty gave the visitors a chance to snatch victory at the death. Step up Ian Madigan who under immense pressure slotted the tricky penalty to send Ulster into the Pro14 Final where they will square off against Leinster.
