Pro 14 - Round 7 Preview
- 2398
After two rounds of outstanding Champions Cup rugby, we now shift our focus back to the Guinness PRO14 which is already heading into Round 7. Sit back, relax and let us take you through how the competition is current shaping up!
The tournament is broken up into two conferences, Conference A is somewhat being dominated by the reigning champions Leinster, while Conference B is by all means still wide open although Munster are leading it by three points.
This weekend sees seven fixtures take place, and it might just be the tastiest yet with two of them happening on Friday as Munster host Edinburgh and Ulster welcome the Scarlets.
Saturday has five fixtures in store for us as Cardiff Blues are in Italy to take on Benetton, with another Welsh-Italian battle in Newport where the Dragons host Zebre.
The South African pair are on the road this weekend, the Southern Kings will look to build on their recent win away to the Ospreys when they travel to Connacht, while Cheetahs will look to imitate their compatriots away in Neath against Ospreys.

Match Of The Weekend: Munster v Edinburgh
There has been something of a budding rivalry between Munster and Edinburgh in recent seasons, with the Irish province having twice narrowly beaten the team from the Scottish capital in knockout encounters.
The two teams find themselves together in Conference B, and with just five points separating the top four, the race for a Final Series place is very tight.
