Premiership Highlights: Leicester Tigers Vs Northampton Saints

Saints took the lead after ten minutes with in form second rower David Ribbans forcing his way over the line after Dan Biggar and Piers Francis had both been twice held up short. The Tigers used a penalty to set up a rolling maul ten metres out but after that didn't work, George Ford took the three points. Nemani Nadolo made his return early on with Dan Kelly suffering a concussion inside the first 20 minutes while Alex Mitchell suffered an ankle injury and was forced off before half time. Rory Hutchinson intercepted George Ford’s pass to extend his side’s lead to 12-3 with Biggar’s conversion. Nadolo closed the gap from close range three minutes before half-time for the Tigers’ first try. Northampton were then 18-10 ahead through two Biggar penalties on either side of the interval. Sam Matavesi finished off a lineout move in the 46th minute as Saints made it a 13 point lead. A penalty from Ford made it a 10 point game before Nadolo scored his second after the hour mark. From there Northampton were able to hold out for victory.
