Kiwi centre Hadleigh Parkes will captain the Scarlets in the
all-important PRO12 clash, against Edinburgh Rugby tonight.
With only five points separating teams in first to sixth position in the PRO12 table Scarlets (2nd) will be looking to secure a victory over Edinburgh (5th) to remain in the play-off places.
Parkes will captain the side in Ken Owens’ absence and believes the Scarlets need to secure a victory for the supporters as well as themselves.
Speaking ahead of the PRO12 clash earlier this week he said: “The next four weeks are important; we’ll put best foot forward for European rugby next year.
“It’s likely to be a tight affair on Friday, Edinburgh are a very good defensive side and we owe them one from last year when they came down and stopped our winning streak.
“It’s important for us, and for the fans, that we get back to winning ways.”
