Munster Injury Update: Conway out for 3-4 months

The Munster squad returned to training at the HPC on Monday to begin preparations for next Friday’s URC round 14 clash against Ospreys at Thomond Park (7.35pm).

Roman Salanoa has been called up to the Ireland squad for the first time and joins Tadhg Beirne, Craig Casey, Gavin Coombes, Jack Crowley, Keith Earls, Dave Kilcoyne, Conor Murray and Peter O’Mahony in camp.

Beirne, Murray and O’Mahony all started the win over Wales on Saturday with Casey and Kilcoyne featuring off the bench.

Munster Academy duo Ruadhan Quinn and Evan O’Connell, Garryowen’s Brian Gleeson and UCC’s Jacob Sheahan and Danny Sheahan helped the Ireland U20s to a victory in Wales with Gleeson named Player of the Match.

There were two Munster players in club action at the weekend with Dan Goggin and Fionn Gibbons helping Young Munster to a Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup semi-final victory over Cork Constitution.


On the injury front, Andrew Conway underwent a procedure on his knee last week and is expected to continue his rehabilitation with the medical department for the coming three to four months.

Calvin Nash (ribs) will follow a period of rehabilitation with the medical department.


RG Snyman is increasing his training load.
