Melbourne Rebels Injury Report
- 940
Wallabies star Andrew Kellaway continues to go from strength to strength with his recovery from a foot injury and looms as a strong chance to return for next week’s historic trip to Fiji.
After progressing into high-intensity running earlier this month, Kellaway has now re-joined the main group.
Unfortunately, Vice-Captain, Reece Hodge, suffered a large laceration on his hand during last weekend’s clash with the Chiefs. Hodge is healing well after a surgical clean up on Sunday morning and will continued to be monitored over the coming weeks to determine availability.
Richard Hardwick sustained a high-grade calf strain on Tuesday. The rehab timeframes for these injuries are approximately eight-weeks, however Hardwick is traditionally a fast-healer, and will be determined to return to the field sooner.
Young lock, Josh Canham, is set to return next week, following a head knock sufferend in the Rebels Round 3 clash against the Waratahs.
Meanwhile, the powerful Ilikena Vudugo, has returned to full rugby training and will be putting his hand up for selection over the coming weeks.
