Meet the new boys in the Springbok team

Pieter-Steph du Toit will lead the Boks against Wales on Saturday, in a team boasting two uncapped players in the starting XV, namely flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse and wing Edwill van der Merwe and two uncapped players on the bench, Ben-Jason Dixon and Sascha Feinberg-Mngomezulu.

1.Jordan Hendrikse (Flyhalf, Lions)
Born- 2001,Quonce (King Williams Town, Eastern Cape)
High School-Glenwood, Durban (Other provincial players - Nico Steyn (Lions), Kerron van Vuuren (Sharks), James Venter (Sharks), Jaco Coetzee (Bath), JJ van der Mescht (Stade Francais))
Club- Hendrikse made his debut for the Lions in 2011 and has played 47 matches for them and scored 343 points. Hendrikse is the brother of Springbok scrumhalf Jaden Hendrikse. He has played flyhalf and inside centre for the Lions
2.Edwill van der Merwe (Wing, Lions)
Born-1996, Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
High School-Paul Roos (Stellenbosch). Paul Roos leads with 54 Springbok players, most recent Willie le Roux, Steven Kitshoff, Herschel Jantjies and Damian Willemse.
Club- van der Merwe made his Super Rugby debut for the Stormers back in 2019 and earned 13 caps for the Cape Town team. He moved to the Lions in Nov 2022 and has played 51 matches for them and scored 120 points
3.Ben-Jason Dixon (Looseforward, Stormers)
Born-1998, Cape Town
High School- Paul Roos (Stellenbosch)
Club-Dixon, who can play lock and flank made his debut for the Stormers back in 2020.
4.Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu (Utility back, Stormers)
Born-2002, Cape Town.
High School- Bishops Diocesan College (Cape Town).Over the years, many Bishops students have gone on to become great Springbok rugby players, the most recent being Robbie Fleck, Selborne Boom, Francois Louw, Dillyn Leyds and Nizaam Carr.
Club-He made his debut for the Western Province in 2011 and in 2022 the former Junior Boks captain was drafted into the Stormers team for the URC playoffs.
