Vodacom Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has "rested" Victor Matfield ahead of his side’s Vodacom Super Rugby match against the Western Force at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
With the franchise agreement with SA Rugby, Ludeke decided to rest the 37-year old veteran as he made three changes to the side that beat the Toyota Cheetahs a fortnight ago.
The Bulls will go into the game with new props, as Boks Dean Greyling and Marcel van der Merwe return to the starting line-up with Adriaan Strauss keeping his spot at hooker.
