Lions steal epic win at the death

Akker van der Merwe scored a try on fulltime to give the Emirates Lions a heart-stopping 22-18 win over the Vodacom Bulls in their Vodacom Super Rugby match at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday.


A minute earlier Jacques-Louis Potgieter slotted a penalty that looked like it would give the Bulls the win but the Lions simply never gave up, and came straight back at the Bulls, winning the kickoff and earning a penalty.


Faf de Klerk took the quick tap and handed off to Van der Merwe, who bounced off two tackles to go over and give his side an amazing win.
