Lions Battle Stats | Four most involved forwards on attack
- 1830
The game has evolved and we are seeing more and more how forwards are utilized for something more than just 'trucking it up'. We highlight the four forwards that have the highest involvement on attack for Andy Farrell's team this tour. We have taken each of their game involvements where they get their hands on the ball and what the outcome is.
Ben Earl - 28 touches per 100 minutes:

Earl is the highest used forward of the group on tour when you look at the averages. He is second only to Henry Pollock when it comes to a positive outcome with his involvements and the second lowest when it comes to negative outcomes, again beaten by Henry Pollock.
Henry Pollock - 22 touches per 100 minutes:

Pollock is heavily involved in the Lions attack play. He is slightly better than Earl when it comes to his touches being a negative impact but by far the best of all the forwards with a positive impact. 18% of Henry Pollock's handling on attack has a positive gainline involvement.
Luke Cowan-Dickie - 22 touches per 100 minutes:

With the same amount of involvements on average as Pollock, Luke Cowan-Dickie could turn out to be a big loss for Andy Farrell. His involvement did however yield the highest failed percentage of all the players on this list. 31% of his involvements were Battle Losses.
Pierre Schoeman - 20 touches per 100 minutes

Schoeman is the only player in the list who only registers in a neutral and negative impact with his involvements. 83% of his impacts were neutral.
