Lima Sopoaga turns down Stormers, rumoured to be linked with Lyon

Recent reports have linked All Black flyhalf Lima Sopoaga with a possible move to South Africa to join the ranks of the Stormers.

However, the existing flyhalves on the Stormers’ books can breathe a sigh of relief as it is rumoured that the 30-year-old Sopoaga will put pen to paper with French Top14 side Lyon.

Sopoaga has a total of 16 international caps for the All Blacks to his name and has a revered reputation as an effective playmaker.   He is currently with Wasps in the English Premiership and has represented the Highlanders in Super Rugby.
