1. Heineken Cup semi final 2009
In what was a record attendance at the time, 82,208 people squeezed into Croke Park to see Leinster take on reigning Heineken Cup champions Munster in the European semi final. A frantic game with a lot on the line but Leinster came out 25-6 victors, with a memorable Brian O'Driscoll intercept try sealing victory for the boys in blue. Leinster went onto to win the final, claiming their 1st ever European title.
2. Heineken Cup semi final 2006
This was the first meeting of the great two at this stage in the competition, as Lansdowne Road hosted the pair. With the crowd dominatly behind Munster, the men in red outshone their opponents in every capicity, going on to win 30-6 and booking their spot in the final.
3. Magners League 2009/10
6 months after their famous victory over Munster in the HC semi final, Leinster hosted Munster at the RDS in the Magners League hoping to prove that their previous performance was no coincidence. The boys in blue delivered a near perfect performance, tries from Brian O'Driscoll, Gordon D'arcy, Shane Horgan and a red card for John Hayes helping the home side to victory. The 30-0 win was the biggest margin of victory between the pair in the professional era.
4. PRO12 2014/15
Leinster were on a 13 match winning run in the PRO12 when they hosted Munster at the Aviva Stadium and were looking to put on a show in front of 43,000 people. However Munster had other plans and raced into a 28-6 lead at half time thanks to tries from James Cronin, Ian Keatley and Robin Copeland. Leinster clawed some of the deficet back but Munster held out to claim an impressive 34-23 victory on the road.
5. PRO12 2012/13
Another tough battle between the pair occured at the Aviva Stadium, when the pair met looking to kick start their seasons. Both sides contributed 3 tries each but it was the boot of Jonathan Sexton which was the difference, as Leinster claimed a 30-21 victory.
