Lock-forward Geoff Parling praised Leicester Tigers' "outstanding" teamwork after a terrific first-half performance guided them to a 28-8 victory over Sale.

Parling, released from England duty and fully fit following a knee injury, returned to the Tigers line-up for one of their best halves of rugby this season.

An energetic and inventive attacking display had them 20-3 ahead at the interval, Laurence Pearce scoring his first Premiership try for the club before Parling and Co's dominant scrum forced a penalty try.
