Leicester Tigers snuck home to a 33-32 win over London Irish after the visitors shot to a 0-7 lead following a Pady Jackson try 40 seconds into the game. The game was marred by three yellow cards and a red card along with a penalty try for the Exiles.
Van Wyk, Chessum and Murimurivalu all scored for the home side as they managed to hold London Irish off. Cyle Brink put in a game high 16 carries and Harry Wells was the best tackler on the day with 16.
Sale Sharks missed out on their bonus point win but performed well defensively as they beat Newcastle Falcons 31-16. Yarde and de Jager both scored tries off individual pieces of brilliance by Faf de Klerk and AJ MAcginty with Simon Hammersley rounding things off for the home side scoring against his old club.
The Falcons will leave the AJ Bell focussing on making their opportunities count after coughing up possession three times off set piece in the Sharks 22
