Former Wallaby and Leinster back, Joe Tomane is heading to Japan having signed with Top League club Ricoh Black Rams.
Having joined Leinster Rugby in the summer of 2018 from Montpellier, the 15 test cap Wallaby now takes his talents to Japan.
Tomane won the PRO14 at Leinster and helped the side reach the Champions Cup final in his first season at the club but he was not offered a contract renewal at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Tomane is joins fellow Australian Isaac Lucas at the club. One of the stars of last year’s Under 20 World Championship parted ways with the Reds after the Super Rugby side tried to renegotiate contract arrangements earlier this year due to the financial impact of COVID-19.
Lucas joins the club where his older brother Matt has spent the last few seasons. He is joins the club following the retirement of former Wallabies flyhalf Berrick Barnes.
