Jaguares captain and Los Pumas international Jerónimo de la Fuente has confirmed his departure from the Super Rugby club.
The 29-year-old progressed through the youth ranks in Argentina and has 54 test caps to his name. The powerful inside centre has joined PROD2 side Perpignan in France and will join the side when his contract finishes at the end of 2020.
The centre follows the likes of Marcos Kremer (Stade Français) and Guido Petti (Bordeaux-Begles) in taking the club’s advice to look abroad for contracts with fellow Jaguares' set to join him in leaving the side.

The Argentine Rugby Union’s advice to players came as Super Rugby’s immediate future remains unclear, especially for teams representing one nation.
On his decision to part ways with the Jaguares for France’s second tier, De la Fuente told the club’s official website: “The first thing I want to say is that I am eternally grateful for everything I have experienced in these last 10 years.
“I want to thank the Argentine Rugby Union for this decade spent in the system and where I was able to develop my career as a professional. Without a doubt, full of learning, with indelible experiences and where I was also able to grow as a person.”
