Israel Dagg will make his return from knee surgery with half a game with a club side in Christchurch on Saturday.
The All Blacks and Crusaders fullback/wing hasn't played since injuring his right knee against the Reds in March 11.
Dagg, who required minor surgery on a PCL and lateral meniscal injury, confirmed on Wednesday that he would make an appearance for his University club at the weekend.
The knee is good," Dagg said. "The PCL affects your acceleration and high-end speed, and that's the thing I need. I need to be fast and explosive.
