The Irish have done it! Back to back titles have been secured, and a strong message has been sent to the world champion Springboks that the north is coming, ahead of the South African Incoming Series.
After going into the 2023 world cup as favorites, beating the reigning world champions in the pool stage, and then losing to New Zealand in the qaurter-final, the Irish were desperate to prove that they are still the best team in the world by securing another 6Nations title.
Although the Grand Slam may have evaded them this time, the Celtic warriors will be relishong the challenge that awaits in Africa against the back to back world champions. For the Scotts it may unfortunately be back to the drawing board after a lacklustre ending to their 2024 6Nations campaign.
