Discipline began to let the Sharks down, enabling the Brumbies to keep the scoreboard ticking over with three successful penalties to take control at 24-10. The Sharks would run in a late try to set up a tense final few minutes, but the Brumbies would survive the comeback as they held on for a seven point victory.
