Highlights: Ospreys v Clermont
- 1475
Clermont ran out 26-21 victors over Ospreys in this evening's Champions Cup clash at The Liberty Stadium. The French side got off to a flying start, scoring two converted tries in the opening 11 minutes; one from Raka and the other from Spedding. Ospreys quickly hit back with a try of their own through Rhys Webb but two Morgan Parra penalties left the half time score at 20-7 to Clermont. Ospreys mounted a late comeback thanks to a second half brace from Dan Evans but it was too little too late in the end. Clermont will be happy to have started their European campaign on a positive note and will be hoping to continue this form when they face Northampton next week. Ospreys will be disappointed to have been beaten by such a narrow margin but will take solace in securing a losing bonus point.
