HIGHLIGHTS: 2018 Super Rugby Semi-Finals: Crusaders v Hurricanes
- 1516
The Crusaders marched into yet another Super Rugby final as they cruised to a 30-12 home win over the Hurricanes in the semi-finals. The Crusaders ran in the opening try, but the Hurricanes hit back soon after to level the scores 7-7. The Crusaders then crossed for a second try and would finish the first half strongly, with two penalties giving them an 18-7 lead at the break. An early second half try saw the Crusaders take control of the match at 25-7. Try as they might, the Hurricanes just could not break through some solid Crusaders defence to get themselves back into the match and it would be the hosts who were next to score, with their fourth try making it 30-7 heading into the final 10 minutes. The Hurricanes would eventually get over the line again after the siren, but it will be the Crusaders who host the Super Rugby Final, with a chance to defend their 2017 title.
