HIGHLIGHTS: 2018 Super Rugby Round 19: Highlanders v Rebels

An absolutely cracking match between these two sides with the Highlanders just keeping their impressive winning record at Forsyth Barr intact. Reece Hodge had a fantastic match scoring a hattrick, two of those tries coming from charge downs. The Highlanders were deadly from turnover ball and punished the Rebels on a number of occassions. The introduction of Josh McKay was a crucial one as he set up an awesome try with a brilliant run from his own 22 which was finished off by Greg Pleasants-Tate. Franklin extended the lead to 9 points with just 5 minutes to play. The Rebels opted to take a late shot at goal in the final minute of the game to cut the lead to under seven points and almost claimed a win when Koroibete raced into the 22 and found Maddocks in support but the fullback was hammered by Naholo and Faddes won the penalty. The Rebels will now have to hope that other results go their way to make the Super Rugby playoffs for the first time. Full time 43-37
