Harlequins Women has announce that talented back-rower Sarah Beckett will join the Club from Tyrrells Premier 15s side Firwood Waterloo from the 2019/20 season.
Beckett, 20, made her international debut for the Red Roses in November 2018 against the USA at Allianz Park, in a side captained by Harlequins Women second row Abbie Scott, and against fellow Quin Kristine Sommer who featured for the visitors.
Sister of England U20 and Gloucester Rugby back row Charlie Beckett, rugby is very much in Beckett’s blood with her father, Mark, her uncle and her grandfather all representing Waterloo in their respective playing careers. Beckett played her first senior match for the Merseyside club at the age of just 18.
Now with seven England caps to her name, Beckett was awarded a full-time contract with the international side in January 2019 and went on to play in each match of their Grand Slam-winning campaign that spring.
Beckett will join up with the Harlequins squad in August.
The Tyrell’s Premier 15s fixtures will be announced on Thursday 1st August with Harlequins' Flagship Fixture, The Game Changer, also announced.
