Guitoune fires Toulouse to an important victory
- 1855
While it might not have been the best day for running rugby at Stade Ernest Wallon it was not short of action. Five tries in total in the game would have suggested otherwise. The pick of this weeks players was the French outside centre, Sofiane Guitoune as he managed to get over for two tries and showed great attacking intent. While Grenoble scored the final points it was the home side Toulouse that got away with it, 29-14.

Sebastien Bezy – Toulouse
The diminutive scrumhalf played a key role in guaranteeing his sides victory this afternoon. His nippy feet and quick darts caused plenty of problems for the opposition defence as he quite often put his side on the front foot. Quick ball was the order of the day as the French international was all over the park.
Sofiane Guitoune - Toulouse
While his preferred position might be fullback, his presence at outside centre this afternoon was simply sublime. His quick thinking and alertness troubled the opposition centre pairing. It was his sharp-wittedness that got his side on the scoreboard as he took a quick tap from close range to go over for a clever try. Once again, he managed to pick a gap early in the second half to go over for his sides third try, his second.
Mathieu Ugalde - Grenoble
Grenoble might have lost this afternoon, however they will have some positives to take out of theur 15 point defeat. Not only was he good with the boot early on in the game, converting his first three penalties. But he often got his side into good attacking ground.
Steeve Blanc-Mappaz - Grenoble
Another positive to take out for Grenoble was the blandside flankers ball carrying abilities. Back in the Alps after spending a year in Vannes he has solidified the No.7 jersey as his own. Going down 17-29 it is very hard to not have realised his defence effort which brought some dignity to his sides scoreline.
