Glasgow lead the way in pool four with 9 points after two impressive displays against Bath and Montpellier. They are just a point ahead of four time European champions Toulouse who they meet this weekend. Montpellier and Bath complete the group with Montpellier picking up two losing bonus points from the opening two rounds with Bath only picking up one.
The top two in Pool 4 meet at the Stade Ernest Wallon as Glasgow look to make it consecutive away wins in Europe when they play Toulouse on Sunday. In round two Glasgow who don’t taste much success away from home managed to defeat Montpellier in France to go top of pool 4 and they now travel to Toulouse looking to cause another upset and increase their lead at the top of the pool. As for Toulouse after a slow start to the season they have managed to pick up some form and after beating Montpellier in round one, put in an impressive performance to defeat Bath at the Rec.
Montpellier host Bath on Friday night with both sides still looking for their first win of the competition. Bath were blown away by Glasgow in round one and even though there were huge improvements in their performance against Toulouse they still were unable to come away with a win and now look to be on the brink of elimination. As for Montpellier after losing both of their opening games qualifying for the quarter finals will be a tough ask. However a win against Bath on Friday and a win at the Rec next week could give them a fighting chance ahead of the final two games in the pool.
