Harlequins are delighted to confirm that World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year and GB 7s Olympian Ellie Kildunne has signed a new multi-year contract with the Club.
A product of Keighley RUFC, Kildunne made her Test debut for England against Canada in 2017, scoring a try on her debut. The former Wasps and Gloucester-Hartpury fullback was a World Cup finalist for England at the 2022 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, and most recently represented them throughout the 2024 WXV 1 tournament in Canada. She has earned 46 caps for the Red Roses, amassing 120 points (24 tries) and winning four Six Nations in a row, including two Grand Slams.
First arriving in Quins colours following a move from Wasps in 2021, Ellie has gone from strength to strength, making 40 appearances for the Club, culminating in being awarded World Player of the Year last month.
The Red Roses speedster also represented GB 7s at the Paris Olympics alongside fellow Quins Heather Cowell, Kayleigh Powell, Grace Crompton and Lauren Torley.
Head Coach Ross Chisholm added: “We’re thrilled Ellie has renewed with the Club, she’s central to how we want to play the game and encapsulates exactly what it means to play the Quins way.
“She’s really stepped up as a leader in this group over this season, to see her working alongside the young English talent we’ve got coming through is really exciting for what the future holds for this team.
“Ellie is always striving to be better, even after winning World Player of the Year she’s talking about what she’s going to do in 2025. We’re excited to see what that’ll be in a Quins shirt over the next few years.”
