Doncaster Knights name strong side for Championship return
- 1689
The Knights make three changes from the XV that beat Rotherham Titans last Saturday in the British and Irish Cup as the league resumes with an away trip to Bedford Blues.
There are two swaps in the forwards for Round 13 as Jarad Williams returns to partner Jack Ram and captain Michael Hills in the back row. Glen Young is back from Falcons duty and switches with David Nolan to partner Matt Challinor and there are no changes upfront as Richard List, Ben Hunter and WillGriff John continue with pushing duties.
Lloyd Hayes' inclusion is the only switch to the Knights backline, the centre partners Mat Clark in midfield with double centurion Dougie Flockhart shifting to the wing. Tyson Lewis starts on the left hand with Paul Jarvis at full back. Michael Heaney and Simon Humberstone continue in the half backs with Humberstone making his first Championship start since October 1st.
The Knights have plenty to bring on with Jack Bergmanas, Harry Allen and Colin Quigley providing front-row cover and Dave Nolan completing the forward replacements. The coaching have elected to go with a four/three, forward/back split with Declan Cusack, Sam Edgerley and Sean Scanlon all hoping to make an impact from the bench.
