Chris Cloete confirms departure from Munster, heads to Premiership

Industrious Munster flanker Chris Cloete has confirmed that he will be leaving the Irish giants and joining up with Bath in the English Premiership.

Cloete has featured regularly for Munster over the past five seasons and has shown great skill at the breakdown in particular where his ability to secure turnover ball has served Munster well.

Cloete, a born and raised South African, had stints with Western Province, the Southern Kings and Pumas before making the move overseas.

“To play in the Premiership has always been a clear ambition, and I look forward to making a significant contribution as Bath move towards the top of the league,” he said.

"It is a fantastic club with great history, and the supporters deserve nothing less than a winning team."
