Champions Cup Team of the Week: Round 1
- 2641
A Thrilling weekend of Champions Cup rugby comes to an end with the opening round of the 2022/23 season closing off with an away win for Leicester Tigers at the expence of Ospreys.
History was made with three South African sides making their Champions Cup debuts as the Stormers learnt the hard way how tough it is playing in France, especially against Clermont Auvergne. The Sharks and Bulls did get off to wining starts at the expence of HArlequins and Lyon respectively. The Sharks earned their win in Durban off the back of an Ox Nche red card despite a late Quins flurry.
Vision: 💯

Leinster and La Rochelle were in cruise control as expected but Sale Sharks bagged the result of the weekend as they mauled Ulster in a 39-0 win. The six try feeding frenzy at the AJ Bell is cause for concern for the Ulstermen but fortunately for them, the Champions Cup format does allow for a slip up or two while keeping you in the running for the play off qualification.
🐯 @anthonywatson_ that is outrageous!
