Challenge Cup Highlights: Gloucester Rugby v Newcastle Falcons (SF)

Gloucester ran out convincing 33-12 victors over Newcastle Falcons in tonight's Challenge Cup semi-final clash at Kingsholm. Newcastle got off to a flying start as Scott Lawson crashed over the whitewash after just 9 minutes of play. That early score seemed to wake Gloucester up and they slowly began to assert their dominance. Marshall levelled the scores and 20 minutes later Matu'u crashed over on the stroke of halftime to establish a 15-5 halftime lead. In the second half, the Cherry and Whites scored tries through Burns and Vellacott to secure their place in the final in Bilbao. Special mention for man of the match Jason Woodward who was exemplary today.
