Canada Name Team to Face Italy

 Canada coach Kingsley Jones has announced his team for the Pool B match against Italy at Fukuoka Hakatanomori Stadium on Thursday, 26 September.

Eleven players return to the starting XV for the side who started in their last warm-up game against the USA in Vancouver. The new faces are second-row pair Conor Keys and Josh Larsen, flanker Michael Sheppard, and the only backline change is Nick Blevins who comes in at inside-centre. Blevins replaces Ciaran Hearn who moves to the bench.

Three players return from Canada's last Rugby World Cup meeting with Italy; Hubert Buydens, Tyler Ardron, and DTH Van der Merwe. Van der Merwe scored a 15th-minute try in that five-point loss.
