Former Highlanders' head coach Tony Brown has been confirmed as the Sunwolves new head coach after Jamie Joseph stepped down from the role to concentrate on the national side ahead of the Rugby World Cup.
The former flyhalf worked as Joseph's assistant at the Highlanders before replacing Joseph when he took up the role as the Japan head coach.
Brown was the Highlanders' head coach for the 2017 when they just missed out on a playoff spot before he joined Joseph in Japan.
Brown was the Sunwolves and Japan assistant coach in 2018 and takes over the head coach role ahead of the 2019 season.
