Brilliant Brumbies dominate the Waratahs in the rain

The Brumbies were looking to regain top stop in the Super Rugby AU standings.

Despite the persistent rain, they were able to put in a complete performance to earn a bonus-point win.

Brumbies opening the scoring with a controversial opening try from Lonergan, who added the extra two points.

Will Harrison got the visitors on the ball with a penalty a few minutes later.

Muirhead then scored a good try in the corner after a good cross kick from Kuenzle.


Harrison again added another penalty to stay in touch before Jack Dempsey scored just before halftime to keep the sides just one point apart a the break.

The second half was a completely different affair, as Brumbies really stepped it up.


The home side asserted their dominance and scored four unanswered tries to wrap up the bonus point.

Pete Samu and Tom Wright both scored two tries each to blow the Waratahs away and go back to the top of the Super Rugby AU standings
