Boks likely to be without PSDT for end of year tour

When the Springboks travel north to launch an assault on Wales, Scotland and England, it is likely that they will do so without the contributions of Pieter-Steph Du Toit, who is currently out with a shoulder injury he sustained in the second Test against the British & Irish Lions.
“The doctor is satisfied with how the shoulder is holding up after the operation, but he says a more work is needed than initially thought,” Du Toit said, speaking to the Rapport.
“It’s very uncomfortable at the moment, but it gets better everyday. It looks like I’ll be out of action for around four months, but I’ll be back.”
His absence in the UK will obviously be a big blow to the Boks, however, they have quality in depth – especially amongst the forwards – which will be of significant help.
The Springboks have marched on since their hard-fought victory over the Lions and have managed to put Argentina away twice in consecutive weeks.
