Saracens' powerful Wallaby lock Will Skelton has been linked with a move away from the Championship bound side at the end of the season as the London Club look to make cuts on their salary bill.
South African Super Rugby side The Bulls have reportedly expressed interest in signing former Wallabies lock as Saracens try to get within the salary cap.
According to Rapport newspaper, the Bulls are not entirely comfortable with their depth at lock for Super Rugby and would like to bring the 2.03m, 125kg Skelton on board.
Australian and European clubs are also keen to acquire his services, though. According to Fox Sports, the 27-year-old’s contract with Saracens is worth around £400,000 a year (about R7.5-million).
The 18 test cap lock was sent of during Saracens' Champions Cup victory over Racing 92 and has been suspended for 6 weeks.
Skelton a move to South Africa wouldn't immediately make Skelton eligible for the Wallabies but there is talks of Australia changing the current regulations for overseas players.
The Bulls have also shown interesting in bringing Vincent Koch back to the country, but the Springbok tighthead is reportedly committed to Saracens and would only leave if the club needs to cut his wages to stay under the Premiership Rugby salary cap.
