Ospreys and Wales prop Ryan Bevington is unlikely to play until November at the earliest after having groin surgery.
The 25-year-old, 13-times capped loose-head has not played since February.
Ospreys medical boss Chris Towers said experts advised surgery, adding: "An optimistic scenario would see him returning to training at the end of November.
"
Bevington's first cap came against Barbarians in June, 2011.
Osprey's next league match is at home to Edinburgh on Sunday.
